Senior Writer/Project Manager
Description:
Vovéo Marketing Group, a full-service agency providing creative and sales support services to technology-oriented companies, is seeking a full-time Writer/Project Manager to join its staff. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, has an aptitude and love of technology, and who balances creative problem-solving abilities with strong project management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Write original content for a variety of marketing communication materials, including brochures, sell sheets, case studies, advertising, web sites, newsletters, e-mail campaigns, voiceover scripts and white papers.
- Edit and proofread copy from both internal and external content writers.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to generate campaign themes and concepts.
- Interact with the art director and graphic designers to ensure project timelines and campaign objectives are met.
- Create web site architectures and storyboards for interactive media projects.
- Meet with clients to launch projects, gather input, present creative and receive feedback.
- Coordinate with outside service providers (printers, photographers, etc.) when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of writing experience – preferably in an agency environment; however, will consider a candidate who has strong relevant experience on the client side
- Extensive experience managing print and online projects from kickoff to delivery
- Proven ability to grasp highly technical content and translate that into easy-to-read copy
- Experience writing in both print and online environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a general understanding of the industry-standard graphic design, web and multimedia production applications
- Familiarity with B2B marketing for technology companies a plus
- B.A. or B.S. in Journalism, English or Communications, or an equivalent level of experience
