Vovéo Marketing Group Develops In-House Content Management System for Client Web Sites
Malvern, PA., January 2007 – Vovéo Marketing Group announces the release of an internally developed content management system (CMS) to be used for customer websites. The CMS solution was developed in response to customer requests and the need for simple implementation, advanced functionality and ease of administration. A leading force in Marketing in the technology arena, Vovéo recognized the importance of providing a CMS solution to its clients for developing and maintaining an effective web presence.
Sam Damico, Vice President of Vovéo and head of development of the CMS solution, views the system as yet another way in which Vovéo can more effectively serve its clients. “Clearly, there are a large number of commercial and open-source CMSs available in the marketplace, yet we found the vast majority were either lacking in necessary functionality or were so incredibly complex that our clients were unable to manage them”. “Given our focus on producing sales results, we have very specific goals for a corporate web site – our CMS makes those goals easily attainable for us and our clients” said Damico.
Committed to making their customers’ websites a lasting asset, Vovéo’s development team worked to create a solution with the ability to address the unique requirements of corporate web and ultimately, increase leads. The solution’s functionality includes simple implementation of conversion mechanisms as well as painless handling of quotes, related links, and other relational aspects of a web page. Due to the importance of adaptability, Vovéo built the fully extensible CMS solution on the Microsoft ASP.NET platform with support of versions 2.0 and 3.5 – data is stored in Microsoft SQL Server.
The first implementation of Vovéo’s CMS solution was Safeguard Scientifics’ website, a site ranked in the top 25 of the tech sector by Internet blogger and entrepreneur Dave Pit. Safeguard Scientifics found that the solution exceeded all expectations from a presentation level as well as administration. The site replaced a prior CMS implementation based on Joomla.
